Meet Our New Recruits!

Recently we made several additions to the Trickbox team! We’ve welcomed a Financial Director, two Project Managers, a Multi-Skilled Technical Operator, a Virtual Events Operator, an Administrator and a Junior Digital Events Assistant. With diverse backgrounds in the industry, the team will work together across Trickbox’s range of broadcast services; Hire, Studio, Virtual Events and Outside Broadcast Projects. See below to learn more about the team-members we’re introducing, in the studio and locked down at home!

Kenneth McCallum is an experienced accountant who joined Trickbox as Financial Director. With a wealth of business knowledge, Ken has supported the company through a significant expansion this year, establishing new systems and processes and providing strategic financial advice. Ken looks forward to challenges this new year brings.

Jacob Hamilton was a familiar face as a freelancer at Trickbox and has slipped happily into the role of Project Manager. With a degree in Digital Film Production, Jacob has spent three years working as an Engineer across various aspects of broadcast and events industries. With a can-do attitude and a coffee addiction, Jacob looks forward to big things in his future at Trickbox, ‘Great to be part of the team!’

Sam Lynam has a background in Production Management and Engineering which he draws on as a Project Manager. Embracing the challenges of a fast-growing industry, he’s heading up Trickbox’s new Virtual Events service. Sam adapts to all new enquiries with enthusiasm, ‘Joining the team has been exciting, a bit of a whirlwind. Every day has a new challenge in these exciting times.’

Darryl Kirby has taken the role of Multi-Skilled Technical Operator. Originally training in Music Technology, he has since worked in technical roles for a news channel, including vision mixing and streaming. With experience from studio to streaming, Darryl has enjoyed the opportunity to focus on virtual events, saying, ‘Trickbox has allowed me to really develop confidence in my ability to help produce events for clients’.

Peter Lawrence has over twenty years of experience in the AV industry and is joining the team as a Virtual Events Operator. A seasoned technician, he’s worked in various mediums which puts him in an ideal position to advise on and deliver clients events. ‘I am really excited about joining the expanding Trickbox team and taking myself further into the A/V rabbit hole; Virtual Events and beyond’.

Molly Brothers is joining as Trickbox’s new Administrator. With a Masters in Psychology, Molly enjoys the challenge of understanding client needs and her experience in administration is invaluable in this period of fast-growth. In her spare time Molly volunteers with the Multiple Sclerosis Society so has enjoyed learning the ins-and-outs of the events they run with Trickbox, ‘I’m thrilled to have joined Trickbox and am looking forward to learning about productions while supporting an expanding team.’

Mohamed Abdalla is a talented designer joining Trickbox as a Junior Digital Events Assistant. From a background in design, Mo has worked in mediums including graphics, music and video. This experience is invaluable when working on the Trickbox TV Virtual Event platform and understanding client’s Virtual Event requirements. ‘Since joining the Trickbox team, no day has been the same. What does stay the same is the smile on everyone’s faces!’
